Question 1

What is MagicGrind and who is it for?

Accepted Answer

MagicGrind is a strict focus timer, anti-procrastination Pomodoro, and deep work telemetry platform engineered for software developers, computer science students, and high-performance grinders. It eliminates distractions, enforces proportional cooldowns to prevent burnout, and tests what you learned every day using AI.

Question 2

How does the strict focus timer with proportional cooldowns work?

Accepted Answer

MagicGrind provides structured focus blocks (10, 25, or 45 minutes). When a session finishes, MagicGrind dynamically enforces a proportional cooldown based on actual work time, preventing cognitive exhaustion and establishing sustainable high-output grind habits.

Question 3

How does MagicGrind use AI for knowledge recall?

Accepted Answer

At the end of each day, MagicGrind reviews your logged task notes and vectors to generate 4-8 targeted knowledge recall questions using Mistral Codestral AI. On Sundays, a weekly Mega Test synthesizes everything you practiced across the entire week.

Question 4

Is MagicGrind optimized for LeetCode, DSA, and technical learning?

Accepted Answer

Yes. MagicGrind has dedicated categorization for Coding, Debugging, Research, Learning, and Planning, tracking focus duration down to the second and rendering GitHub-style intensity heatmaps.
